The Miniature paintings of Rajasthan were originally commissioned by the Rajput kings in the 7th century.
Marked by graceful lines and delicate brushwork, miniature paintings of India have a glorious history, providing an artistic intimacy of Rajasthani artwork.
They are not just meant to be observed, but instead, read from top to bottom like a story. This Painting depicts a Royal Maharaja procession. It is full of grandeur, color and vigor which
is indicative of painting styles from various centers of Rajasthan, India that flourished spanning centuries.
Art captures the pomp and show of the Maharaja(king) of Udaipur who along with the subjects and pack animals are ornately dressed
and indulging in celebration of sorts in the confines of the City Palace, Udaipur.
The Lake Palace, built on an island in Lake Pichola, is shown in the background. The sacred power of an Indian king is expressed most spectacularly in the grand public processions that celebrated royal events
and religious festivities. It will certainly add a traditional touch to your wall and brighten up your living spaces.
This painting is painted with poster colours on cotton cloth.
